Back open for business – staying safe and cautious

Restrictions are beginning to lift – home viewings and valuations are back in our schedule and we’re going the extra mile making sure all staff and customers stay safe and protected.

Last month the government announced that the property market is back open for business, with viewings, valuations, and moving home allowed once again! This is incredibly exciting for those who have been waiting patiently to get the ball moving with their property transactions throughout lockdown, and we’re excited to help our customers achieve their goals once again, quickly and safely.

What’s changed?
We’re happy to help with viewings and valuations again, with a few small changes to how they happen to ensure everyone remains safe.

We still offer virtual alternatives to in-person visits, and we’re encouraging as many people as possible to take this option if they feel at all uncomfortable or unsafe having someone in their home. These last few weeks have proven that virtual tours and valuations can be done accurately and efficiently without the need for us to be there in person.

Unfortunately, we cannot visit anyone at high risk or self-isolating (showing symptoms or recently exposed to someone else with symptoms) as we don’t want to risk anyone’s health or risk spreading the virus further.

We are working hard to protect both our clients and ourselves, and have begun to train our staff to ensure maximum protection. Safety of course is paramount, and we will follow government guidelines closely, adding in our extra precautions where we see fit.

These include:
·    Ensuring availability via phone, email and video conferencing.
·    Offices cleaned thoroughly daily.
·    Video tours available to all in the initial stages of looking, only moving to ‘in-person viewings’ once an applicant is serious about buying/letting and only if the seller/current tenant/landlord is comfortable with viewings taking place.
·    Social distancing followed very strictly on all viewings – all doors will be left open by us or the seller and the applicant will not be able to touch anything within the property during the viewing. The seller/current tenant will have to leave the property before the viewing can take place.
·    We encourage applicants to bring their own face mask and gloves to the viewing.
·    All staff will be wearing protective equipment and washing their hands/using sanitiser regularly.
·    Asking whether any party is showing symptoms or has been asked to self-isolate before going ahead with any viewings.
·    Ensuring that any keys are appropriately cleaned before handover.

We feel invigorated and excited for our customers now that restrictions have been lifted and expect to see a large boom in the UK property market. We have so much love for our community and will now work even harder to provide the great service and reputation we’ve built in the local area – helping our customers reach their dream home, family, and financial goals.

As the fight against the virus continues, let’s stay SAFE, COMPASSIONATE, and THOUGHTFUL towards those around us.

If you have any questions, need extra advice on how we will continue going forward, or want to make an appointment for a viewing or valuation, please get in touch and we will happily help you move forward.

ALSO…

We are also a very community minded business, and know that some local businesses may be struggling, as well as vulnerable people in the community. If you’re a local business and you need promotion, we’re more than happy to do this for you across our platforms.

If you’re a vulnerable person in need of a helping hand or you’re self-isolating, please don’t hesitate to drop us a message, we can help with doctor’s appointments, groceries, shopping and anything else - we would love to help where we can! We are here for our community!

For everyone else, feel free to call or email anytime – our offices may not always be open, but we are ALWAYS contactable.

Finally, we will get through this. Our sense of community is strong, and we’re good at sticking together. We wish everyone good health and family bonding!
